Product Overview
What makes the ML-HDHA-4K
The ML-HDHA-4K functions as an HDMI audio de-embedder, separating embedded audio signals from HDMI content while maintaining uninterrupted video output through the HDMI pass-through port. This capability is essential in installations where display devices are not responsible for audio playback, or where centralized audio routing is required across a structured sound system.
By extracting audio directly from the HDMI stream, the device allows system designers to route sound to external amplifiers, mixers, or digital signal processors without relying on display-based audio outputs. The HDMI pass-through simultaneously ensures the original video signal reaches the connected display without latency or signal degradation.
Support for 4K resolution at 30Hz makes the ML-HDHA-4K suitable for modern Ultra HD display environments used in corporate, institutional, and commercial settings, where video clarity must be preserved alongside structured audio distribution.
Because the unit operates independently of operating systems and display drivers, it integrates smoothly into structured AV deployments managed by consultants, integrators, and enterprise IT departments, without requiring driver installation or software configuration.

Key Features
Built for structured professional AV integration
One HDMI input. Uninterrupted 4K video pass-through. Independent stereo and optical audio extraction. Designed to separate signal paths cleanly in professional AV environments.
4K HDMI Signal Support
The ML-HDHA-4K supports video resolutions up to 4K at 30Hz, enabling integration within Ultra HD display systems used in corporate, institutional, and commercial environments where high-definition clarity is required.
- Up to 4K resolution at 30Hz
- Compatible with standard HDMI HD formats
- Suitable for Ultra HD professional display environments
Simultaneous HDMI Pass-Through
The device maintains uninterrupted HDMI output while extracting audio, ensuring video continues to the connected display without latency or signal interruption. The source signal remains intact at the display output at all times.
- Video continuity to the display at all times
- No latency introduced to the video signal
- Audio extraction and video pass-through operate simultaneously
Audio Extraction via Stereo and Optical Outputs
Embedded HDMI audio is separated and made available through stereo analogue and optical (TOSLINK) outputs simultaneously. This provides flexibility when connecting to amplifiers, AV receivers, or DSP-based audio systems.
- Stereo analogue output for amplifiers and mixers
- TOSLINK optical output for DSP and AV receivers
- Both audio outputs available simultaneously
Structured AV Integration
The unit is suited for installations where video and audio follow separate signal paths. It enables clean system architecture by eliminating the need to extract audio from display devices, keeping AV routing organised and predictable.
- Separates video and audio into independent signal paths
- Removes dependency on display-based audio outputs
- Suitable for structured AV systems with centralised audio routing
Deployment-Ready Operation
The ML-HDHA-4K operates without driver installation or software configuration. Once powered and connected, it automatically manages audio extraction and video pass-through, reducing installation complexity for system integrators and IT teams.
- No software or driver dependency
- Automatic operation on power-up
- Compatible with Windows, macOS, Linux, and embedded AV systems
Compact and Installation-Ready Design
The device is designed for continuous commercial operation in a compact form factor that suits rack shelves, AV cabinets, and space-constrained professional environments. It is built to operate reliably within structured AV systems over extended periods.
- Compact form factor for rack or cabinet placement
- Designed for continuous commercial operation
- Suitable for fixed AV installations requiring long-term reliability
Installation
Simple setup. No software required.
The ML-HDHA-4K is designed for fast, straightforward deployment within professional AV systems. Installation involves connecting the source, display, and audio outputs in sequence. No drivers, configuration software, or technical calibration are required.
01
Connect the HDMI Source
Connect the HDMI cable from your source device, such as a laptop, media player, conferencing system, or workstation, into the HDMI input port of the ML-HDHA-4K. The unit accepts standard HDMI signals including 4K at 30Hz formats.
02
Route HDMI Output to the Display
Connect the HDMI output port of the unit to the display device using a standard HDMI cable. The video signal passes through without latency or degradation. The display will receive the full source signal, including 4K content where supported.
03
Connect the Audio Outputs
Route the stereo analogue output to the appropriate amplifier, mixer, or PA system using a standard 3.5mm cable. For DSP-based or digital audio infrastructure, use the TOSLINK optical output. Both outputs can be connected and used simultaneously.
04
Power On and Verify
Once powered, the unit automatically manages audio extraction and video pass-through. No configuration is required. The device functions independently of the operating system, making it compatible with all standard AV control environments.
Designed for real-world AV environments
The ML-HDHA-4K is deployed in professional settings where structured audio routing is required alongside high-resolution HDMI video display, without interrupting the video path or depending on display-based audio outputs.
Corporate Boardrooms
Extracts audio from HDMI conferencing systems and routes it to installed amplification systems while maintaining 4K display output at the room screen, without dependence on the display for audio delivery.
Auditoriums and Training Facilities
Supports Ultra HD video display while distributing audio through centralised sound systems. Suitable for large venues where a single HDMI source feeds a projection system and an independent PA or DSP-based audio infrastructure.
Digital Signage Systems
Allows HDMI media players to deliver 4K video to display screens while routing audio independently to public address systems or ambient background music infrastructure, without using the display's built-in audio output.
Control Rooms and Command Centres
Enables structured separation of video and audio signals within high-resolution monitoring environments where HDMI sources must feed large-format displays and separate audio monitoring or intercom systems simultaneously.
Educational Institutions
Supports HDMI-based teaching equipment connected to classroom or lecture hall projection systems, with audio routed independently to ceiling speaker arrays or installed PA systems, rather than relying on projector audio outputs.
Broadcast and Live Event Environments
Enables independent audio routing from HDMI video sources in broadcast production and live event setups, where program audio must feed a mixing console or recording infrastructure separately from the video monitoring chain.
